Specifics:
Permits to remove, destroy, or injure trees for safety, landscaping, silvicultural or other purposes shall be obtained by making application to the city arborist. All permits shall be posted for public inspection on-site. Specimen trees:

- Large hardwoods (eg. oaks, elms, poplars, etc.) and softwoods (eg. pine sp.) in fair or better condition with a DBH equal to or greater than 30 inches;

- Smaller understory trees (dogwoods, redbuds, sourwoods, persimmons, etc.) in fair or better condition with a DBH equal to or greater than ten inches; and

- Lesser-sized trees of rare species, exceptional aesthetic quality, or historical significance as designated by the Tree Conservation Commission.
